You can easily import a CSV file directly into Airbank. This is especially useful when your bank is not yet available on the platform or you want to upload data from another financial source. With the CSV upload, our system will automatically reflect the updated transactions in your account balances, overview, transactions, and cash flow tabs.
First, make sure you have created a "Manual Register" for the account you currently cannot connect. Once you have this, simply navigate to your "Accounts" tab, select the account you have created as a "Manual Register" and then select "Batch upload transactions."
Here, you can download the example file so you can match the needed formatting for the upload.
Once you've formatted your CSV file to match our requirements, upload the file to Airbank. Make sure your upload has the following columns: Category, Reference, Date, Amount, and Currency (see screenshot below).
These fields are mandatory:
Date: Date field needs to follow one consistent formatting to be accepted)
Amount: Amount field needs to apply consistent thousand and comma separators to be accepted)
Currency: Currency needs to be an ISO-accepted currency to be accepted
You can leave the column category empty. In that case, Airbank will attempt to automatically categorise your transactions using our artificial intelligence. If you want to avoid that, you can easily batch uncategorise all transactions later again.
Airbank will then read your file, and display a preview of the transactions before you upload them to your account.
Once you confirm the transactions, you'll see each transactions reflected in the system, as well as the relevant account balances and positions updated throughout all areas of the app.
