Take the following steps to connect your Deutsche Postbank account to the Airbank App.

First, please go to the "Connect new bank" button in the upper right-hand corner of the dashboard & click on it.

Now, type in "Deutsche Postbank" (in the search field - see screenshot below).

Click on "Deutsche Postbank".

Now, please provide your identification and password. Note, that your identification is either provided by your bank's materials, or might follow this standard:

Your Postbank ID and username should be added under 'Identification' with the following format: {Postbank.ID}#Username, where #Username is your username. You can find your username on your Postbank account (on top of the account page).

Once that's done, click on "Next".

Depending on your bank's settings, you will be redirected to the Deutsche Postbank log-in page. The active login procedure (Deutsche Postbank "BestSign" or chipTan), the next steps differ slightly.

  • Option 1: mobileTAN (smsTAN, chipTAN) log-in procedure:

    Please follow the instructions displayed and confirm your registration by entering the TAN you received (via SMS message or chip device).

  • Option 2: BestSign log-in procedure:

    Please follow the instructions displayed on the login-in page and confirm your login by unlocking via fingerprint or facial recognition using the BestSign mobile app or the separate BestSign device (make sure that there is stable connection via Bluetooth or USB port for this purpose).

    • After authentication, you will be redirected and you have to confirm the connection to the Airbank app via BestSign once again.

We would strongly advise option 1 as it is more effective and reliant.

Congratulations! Your Deutsche Postbank account is now connected!

You should now be redirected to the Airbank App and see the Deutsche Postbank icon in upper left-hand corner of the your banking dashboard.
